Infectious diseases can have serious consequences.

Infectious diseases can have serious consequences. Vaccination is the most effective form of protection – not only for your own child, but also for newborns, pregnant women, other children, and adults.
The Federal Commission for Vaccination and the FOPH issue vaccination recommendations in Switzerland.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child grants every child the right to be vaccinated against preventable diseases and to enjoy the highest attainable standard of health (Switzerland ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1997).
Parents have the right of parental custody for the well-being of the child. If a child in Switzerland is not vaccinated in accordance with our vaccination schedule, the child's right to be protected from preventable diseases is violated.
