Toddlers in restaurants

Are screens and junk food really better than lively, noisy children?

Recently, a father of two toddlers said after his check-up at the practice: "Right, now we're heading over to Quadro at the Hirslanden Clinic. We're hungry, and kids are always welcome there. They know us already; we go there regularly." With a one-year-old and a three-year-old, you get to know people and the city all over again.

It’s true, there are places that simply aren't made for lively toddlers. Fair enough. But the idea that you should always feel ashamed and, if in doubt, flee, isn't right either. Those supposedly exhausting and loud toddlers are part of our society and our future. And the curiosity and joy with which they explore and experience food is simply wonderful. Let them be, let the parents be! Otherwise, those fun and inventive two-year-olds will eventually just sit quietly in restaurants in front of their screens, being fed fries, completely unaware of who they are or where they are. Thank you, Filippo Giacometti and team, for your warm hospitality!
