Dr. med. Anna Steppacher
Specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine
My love of paediatric and adolescent medicine was sparked during my nursing internship and my student job as a nursing assistant at Zurich Children's Hospital. With my Master's thesis and dissertation in the field of paediatric infectiology, I also embarked on this educational path scientifically at an early stage. After my state examination at the University of Zurich, I completed the basis of my specialist training in internal medicine at Affoltern Hospital and then continued my paediatric career at Triemli Hospital and Zurich Children's Hospital. My enthusiasm for primary care and general practice medicine was awakened at the Solothurn Group Practice. With broad training in emergency medicine, neonatology, oncology, nephrology, infectiology and developmental paediatrics, I obtained my specialist title in paediatrics and adolescent medicine in March 2022. At Triemli Hospital, I was able to gain experience as a senior physician in teaching and run a consultation in this speciality in collaboration with the infectiology department at Zurich Children's Hospital.
I live with my husband and our two children in beautiful Wipkingen on the banks of the River Limmat.
