I trained for two specialist titles in four different European countries and gained the relevant experience.
In Frankfurt, I got to know surgical work and congenital malformations, in Lyon I looked over the shoulder of a paediatric urology expert and spent many long hours on the emergency ward, in Luxembourg I learned practical paediatric medicine and immersed myself in the world of minimally invasive paediatric surgery, in Zurich I worked at one of the largest centres with all its sub-disciplines, learned to love paediatric intensive care and neonatology and developed into a passionate emergency physician.
Life is all about the little things. The small, subtle, perhaps also somewhat difficult and hidden things interested me early on in my studies. If you look closely at children and listen, you learn a lot. If you don't have the time and patience, a lot remains hidden.
I live with my husband and our three children in Zollikon, very close to Kindermedizin.
